Less than NSA E Level of play.
Teams consist of inexperienced to average players, first time teams. Leisure teams consist of 3-6 average-skilled players with remaining players lacking in either defensive or offensive skills or new players. These leagues are for teams not overly concerned with the results. Staff may transfer any team in this league that they deem as over-skilled for safety reasons.

Teams consist of experienced to highly skilled players. Competitive teams mostly consist of above-average players who have good skills. Teams can have any skill level player on their roster.

The “free substitution rule” will be in effect and players may rotate on defense fielding positions as needed so long as the original batting order remains unchanged. Players must remain in the same numeric position in the batting order, starter players and substitute players.
Scorecard / Game Batting Line-up cards must be completed by game time and presented to the umpire at the pregame meeting. Player first initial, last name, jersey number are required. Managers do not need to sign the card unless they are protesting the score.
The batting order must alternate female/male at all times (unless playing with nine players - one less male or female). No team can play with less than 4 players of any sex at any time.
When your team has 9 players or less present, the following rules are in effect:
a) 8 Players / Teams must play with even numbers of male / female players, 4/4.

No outfielders may cross the designated line visible in the outfield prior to the individual at bat making contact with the ball. This line runs parallel with both the fence and the infield. Any violations of this rule will result in the batter being awarded one base for the defensive infraction.

JEWELRY:
is not permitted, with two (2) exceptions:
1) Wedding Bands: Players can play with a single wedding band. NO additional bands or rings are permitted, but they must be covered by tape, fabric, or other material that would prevent them from catching on anyone or anything.
2) Stud Earrings: Players can play with stud earrings (NO dangling), but they must be covered by tape, fabric, or other material that would prevent them from catching on anyone or anything.
Managers will be issued a team warning at the start of the game. Any jewelry found on a player during game time will result in that player receiving an “OUT” for his or her at bat.
BASERUNNING & AVOIDING CONTACT:
When approaching a base in which a fielder is in possession of or in a legal position to receive the ball; the approaching base runner must avoid contact with the fielder. If a base runner fails to avoid contact, they will be called out and/or ejected. Accordingly, the fielder may not impede the path of a base runner. If this rule is violated, the base runner will be awarded the next base in line. Any player initiating excessive contact with an opposing player will be ejected and subject to suspension.
UNSPORTSMAN-LIKE CONDUCT:
Throwing of bats will not be permitted. Profanity/vulgarity toward players, field-supervisors, scorekeepers, and umpires will not be permitted. Managers or team representatives will receive their only warning at the pre-game conference. There is ZERO TOLERANCE for acts of unsportsmanlike conduct.
SMOKING, VAPING & ALCOHOL:
are not permitted in the dugouts or on the playing field. No glass containers of any kind are allowed in the park. Offending players or teams will be ejected. One warning will be given to managers at the pre-game conference.
City and County of Denver field supervisors, umpire(s), and other league officials have the right to remove any player from a game if in violation of league rules, park rules, or codes of conduct.
Players must provide a valid Colorado Driver’s License or Colorado ID card in the event of a roster challenge. The use of illegal player(s) will result in a forfeit. Remember, players may be added only if there is a roster spot for them and they do not play with another team in the exact same league.

Participant Code of Conduct:
No player, manager, coach, or sponsor shall bump, push, shove, kick, trip, lay hands on, strike or threaten other participants, umpires, league officials, scorekeepers, or any employees of the program.
Any player, manager, coach or sponsor leaving the dugout during an altercation will automatically be subject to suspension review.
No player, manger, coach, or sponsor shall make derogatory remarks or statements about decisions rendered by the game’s officials. Protests of rules are allowed, but only concerning application or interpretation (not judgment calls). The team manager or coach must file a written protest to the CityWide Sports Review Board within 48 hours of the game’s conclusion. The review board will issue a response within 72 hours from receiving the protest.
No player, manager, coach or sponsor shall be engaged in “soft toss” hitting or throwing the ball in any manner against facility structures (fences, press boxes, etc)
On site reports will be completed for all ejections. The CityWide Sports Board will review all ejection reports and determine if disciplinary actions are warranted. Written notification will be sent out to all involved parties within 72 hours.
No player, manager, coach, or sponsor shall participate in the game when inebriated. This includes the dugout as well as the playing field.
Children under the age of 18 are not permitted in dugouts without adult supervision (supervising adult must be inside the dugout – not on playing field)

PARTICIPANTS WILL ADHERE TO ALL DENVER PARKS RULES:
Dogs and pets must be on a leash and under physical control at all times.
Pet waste must be picked up and disposed of properly.
Consumption of hard alcohol is prohibited (only beer and wine are permitted)
No use or display of marijuana or use of illegal drugs.
Glass bottles and kegs are not allowed in parks.
Violation of this rule will result in immediate forfeiture of that night’s game(s) by the offending team.
No littering. Use trash cans and dumpsters or pack it out.
No weapons, firearms, or fireworks.
Disturbing the peace, including loud music or sound, is prohibited.
The sale of goods and services requires a Parks and Recreation Permit.
Motorized vehicles allowed only on roads and in parking areas. No overnight parking is allowed in any park.
Fires and coals are allowed in grills only. Grills must be least 12 inches off the ground.
Thoroughly extinguish all charcoals, dispose of properly or pack it out.
